AHSHA PREMIER HOCKEY PROGRAM INFO






AHSHA in partnership with the Arizona Coyotes are excited to announce the following information regarding the 2019-2020 Premier Hockey Tryout information.

AHSHA Premier is a development program that provides players with the opportunity to play competitive hockey in a challenging and rewarding environment. The primary purpose of AHSHA Premier is to provide high school players the opportunity to gain advanced development to support growth to a higher level of varsity play. A key objective is to prepare varsity players for the America’s Hockey Showcase - Team Arizona tryouts. The America’s Hockey Showcase tournament is a highly scouted event for junior/senior high school players in April 2020.

Tryout Cost:  $85.00

Each level will have a 2 tryout session scheduled for Saturday, August 10th and Sunday, August 11th, 2019 ~ a 3rd tryout session will be by Invite Only. 

Tryouts will be based on grade:
Freshman/Sophmores - U16
Junior/Seniors - U18

Tryouts will be held at the Ice Den - Scottsdale

Tryouts are for players who have completed Registration for the Fall High School Hockey 2019-2020 season.  Players who have committed to a travel program with another hockey association are not eligible to participate in tryouts with AHSHA Premier.  

Please arrive at the grade appropriate tryout at least 45 mins prior to the scheduled start time to check in and receive a tryout jersey.  Tryout jerseys will be distributed to participants prior to the first tryout and must be returned at the completion of the second tryout.  Jerseys for the "Invite Only" sessions will be redistributed prior to the start of the ice session.

PREMIER TRYOUT REGISTRATION

 
AHSHA Premier Information:

Players selected for the AHSHA Premier team will be given a written roster offer which will need to be accepted and returned within five days; otherwise, alternate players will be selected. Once the offer is accepted, players must register for the team on www.ahsha.org prior to the first practice. The season is scheduled to start after the Labor Day Tournament.

Season Fee U16/U18: $2799

The registration fee can be paid in one lump sum or by payments at the time of registration.

Included in the Registration Fee:
  • Four Tournaments: Two Out-of-State and Two In-State
  • Tournament Weekends: Thanksgiving – Anaheim, CA; (Meals Included), Christmas, MLK & President Day – San Diego, CA.   
  • Tournament are subject to change
  • Both Premier Teams Will Participate and Travel to the Same Tournaments
  • 30 Practices per Team and 25+ games in addition to the regular AHSHA Season Schedule
  • Premier Teams will have games against local travel teams and local high school teams
  • Cost includes: all ice time, uniforms, team apparel, ground transportation, hotel accommodations and meals for out of town tournaments. (No Airline Travel is Required)
