REGISTRATION

Arizona High School Hockey Association (AHSHA) gives area high school students an opportunity to participate in a high-quality youth sports program, promoting the life skills inherent to participation in a competitive environment through the sport of amateur ice hockey.   Through training, education and the use of key role models, the values of sportsmanship and family participation will be at the forefront of all efforts. 

Below is a list of the various programs AHSHA offers throughout the year: 

  • SPRING/SUMMER HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY CAMPS AND CLINIC
Spring/Summer High School Hockey currently allows incoming freshmen through current 12th grade students to register for our camps and clinics.  
  • FALL SEASON  
Fall High School Hockey is available for High School students enrolled in 9th grade through 12th grade. Registration will open in May of each year.  Preseason practices begin in August with a Pre Season Seeding tournament kicking off the hockey season.  The season consists of a weekly practice, Preseason Seeding tournament and 20 regular season games. Regular season games are scheduled to start after Labor Day and finish in March with the Championship playoff series. The season start and end date purely depends on availability of ice at area rinks.
  • PREMIER PROGRAM 
AHSHA Premier is a development program that provides varsity players with the opportunity to play highly competitive hockey in a challenging and rewarding environment.  The primary purpose of AHSHA Premier is to provide an opportunity to gain advanced development to support growth to a higher level of varsity play.  The Premier Program consists of a U16 and U18 team and participates in up to four tournaments; two out-of-state and two in-state.
  • AMERICA'S HOCKEY SHOWCASE
The purpose of the America’s Showcase is to allow high school players from all areas of the country, the opportunity to compete against elite competition and have the chance to be scouted by major hockey programs in the United States.  The Showcase consist of approx 22 teams and over 500 top high school hockey prospects.  Scouts representing the NHL, NCAA Division I, II, III, ACHA, Prep and Junior A programs will be in attendance to evaluate players.
 
This is a unique opportunity for AHSHA’s best junior and senior varsity players to compete against elite talent and to gain exposure at a national level.  Players eligible to participate in the Showcase must be junior or seniors, on a varsity high school team roster and must have played in at least 75% of their high school games.
