AHSHA'S 2020 TEAM ARIZONA - TRYOUT REGISTRATION OPEN
AHSHA is forming an elite high school hockey team to represent Arizona at USA Hockey's America’s Showcase held April 16 – April 20, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri. America’s Showcase allows high school junior and senior players from across the country, the opportunity to compete at an elite level and a chance to be scouted by major hockey programs in the United States. This Showcase event consists of 24 teams with over 600 of the top high school hockey prospects. Over 100 scouts representing the NCAA Division I & III, ACHA, Prep and Junior A programs will be in attendance to evaluate players.
AHSHA, in partnership with the Arizona Coyotes, are pleased to announce a sponsorship of Team Arizona Showcase. This means that all player fees will be reduced substantially. This aligns with both AHSHA and the Arizona Coyotes’ philosophy of growing the game of hockey and allowing high school players the opportunity to reach the next level.

The purpose of the America's Showcase Tournament is:
- High School players from across the country compete against elite players.
- Gain exposure on a national level.
- Opportunity to be scouted by major hockey programs in the United States.
TRYOUT INFORMATION:
- Tryouts are scheduled and will be held at Gila River Arena & Oceanside Ice Arena
- Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM *Gila River Arena*
- Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 9:00 PM – 10:30 PM *Oceanside Ice Arena*
- Tryout Fee: $60.00
- Tryouts are opened only to AHSHA registered Junior or Senior varsity players
- Player must have participated in 50% of their AHSHA team games
REGISTER FOR TEAM AZ TRYOUTS
TEAM ARIZONA FORMATION:
- No more than four (4) players on the 2020 Team Arizona roster may represent one high school
- Team Arizona roster will consist of 12 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goaltenders
- Alternate players may be selected, once 20 player roster is filled
- Players selected must be able to commit to time away from school
- Players selected will be required to register within five (5) days of being selected and pay a $649 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to secure a roster spot
- The total cost of the 2020 Team Arizona is $1,299 per player, payable in monthly payments. (Team Arizona Staff is actively working on finding more funding to reduce this cost. It is always the goal to make this as affordable as possible)
- $649 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit due within five (5) days after selected to the team.
- One (1) additional payments of $650 due April 1st, 2020.
- Total cost includes airfare, hotel, ground transportation, food, team jacket, polo, shirt, practices, games, game jersey, game socks, and tournament fee.
- Alternates will be selected to replace players who do not make their initial payment on time or are unable to attend the tournament.
- Registration fee for an alternate covers the cost of practices, games, shirt, polo and team jacket.
