AHSHA CALL UP POLICY

Attention AHSHA Coaches and Team Managers:

Teams may submit up to a 30-player roster
Teams may roster a maximum of 20 players on their regular team roster (18 skaters, 2 goalies).
Remaining spots may be filled with AP players from the teams lower-level team up to 30 filled roster spots.
Goalies count in this roster.
AP players can be broken down in any way but must include at least 1 goalie.
AP players can only be listed from team directly below.

Teams will be responsible for completing their own section of the scoresheet. Either handwritten or bring their own label. A maximum of 20 names can be written or on label for each game. Score sheet must be completed 1 hour prior to game time.

Suspended players must be counted for as part of the 20 players rostered for game. No AP players can replace a suspended player’s roster spot. (If 1 skater is suspended, only 17 skaters may be rostered for that game.)

Call-up players must be designated with an “AP” next to their name on the roster. AP players are eligible to play in a maximum of 10 games during the regular season. Playoffs and preseason do not count towards regular season 10 game maximum.

Roster must accurately display a maximum of 18 skaters and 2 goalies and represent only players who are dressed and participating in the game (or on suspension). Per USA Hockey policy.

National’s eligible teams only – AP players must play in at least 5 games to be eligible for National roster.

Delay of Game penalty assessed for teams when coach does not complete and sign scoresheet prior to start of the game.

Game will result in forfeit when a team does not accurately complete scoresheet. Multiple occurrences may face discipline from AHSHA DC or BOD.

Goalies may only skate out as a player if there are less than 10 rostered skaters available for the game. There must be two rostered and dressed goalies for that game. Goalies can still be acquired through the sub goalie procedure.

Goalies from higher level team can be added to lower-level teams’ roster if there are no teams below that team within the program. Higher level goalies can be called down for back up purposes only. If the higher-level goalie participates in the game a report must be filed with the league.

Coaches or Team Manager must update the Call-up Spreadsheet a minimum of 2 hours prior to the start of the game.
