Rink Coordinator

AHSHA Rink Coordinators are required to complete the following training and requirements prior to the start of the season.

1. USA Hockey Volunteer Registration (Deadline 9/30)
2. USA Hockey SafeSport Certification (Deadline 8/15, Renew/Refresh Every Year)
3. Complete USA Hockey Background Screening (Deadline 8/15, Renew Every 2 Years)
4. Complete "Concussion in Sports - What you need to know" through the National Federation of State High School Association (NFHS). (Only need to complete once)

GAME DAY DUTIES:

• Be at rink 60 minutes prior to assigned high school hockey game with assigned medical bag
• Request table and chair in prominent location at the rink, and display AHSHA tablecloth
• Bring fully charged iPad, with GameSheet loaded for each assigned game
• Once at the rink, login to iPad on available Wi-Fi to allow for live scoring
• Ensure all call-up players have been called up in a timely manner by utilizing all call-up worksheets
• Review suspension list:
• Make sure suspended player is listed as suspended in GameSheet
• Make sure players returning from suspension have served all required games and paid their fine
• Enter in any new suspensions into the suspension list and send email to AHSHARC@arizonahighschoolhockey.com by the end of the day to allow the suspension email to be sent prior to the player/coaches next scheduled game
• Assist all coaches/managers with signing the iPad, and ensuring the roster is correct
• Be the liaison for any security at the rink
• Enter in any new suspensions into the suspension list and send email to AHSHARC@arizonahighschoolhockey.com by the end of the day to allow the suspension email to be sent prior to the next scheduled game
• Be the face of AHSHA and answer any questions anyone may have
• Report any issues or escalations to AHSHA President and/or AHSHA Secretary
• Assist with ticket sales or other activities during playoffs or championship games
• Fulfill any other AHSHA requested assignments by AHSHA President and/or AHSHA Secretary
